BURBANK, CA (American Recordings) - Nashville rockers Luna Halo hit the road July 24th for a mini 18-date U.S. tour, which includes a stop at the Hedgpeth Festival in Wisconsin where the band will appear alongside Flaming Lips,
Kings of Leon, Primus, and They Might Be Giants. A warm-up show on July 21st at L.A.'s Viper Room was sold-out.
The tour will preview material from Luna Halo's upcoming self-titled debut album - a collection of affecting classic rock influenced by Nirvana, The Smiths, Muse, and the Clash, which was produced by Neal Avron (Weezer, Fall Out Boy, Yellowcard) and executive produced by the legendary Rick Rubin (Beastie Boys, Johnny Cash). It will be released on Rubin's American Recordings label through Warner Bros. Records early next year. In the meantime, fans can pick up a three-song EP that will be sold at shows and made available for digital download beginning August 8th.
Says lead singer, Nathan Barlowe: "We want to write good songs that stand the test of time, and tour as much as possible, because playing these songs live is why we started this."
