SANTA MONICA, CA (Musicane) - Musicane, a service that empowers content creators and producers with the capability to market, distribute and sell digital content directly from their own web sites and community profiles, today announced the release of its new "Musicane Groups" so that labels and video distributors can better administer and maximize digital sales of music, video and ringtones from multiple artist and video sites and profiles.

And, as a result of overall refinements in its service, Musicane today also announced that it is increasing its payout to its artist, label and distributor clients. Under its new pricing schedule that becomes effective immediately, Musicane clients will receive 80% of each digital sale - whether for individual tracks, full-length albums, ringtones, videos or other original content.

"With the release of the Group Account Manager, Musicane extends its already strong commitment to the creative community by providing tools to a broader range of labels, video distributors, music retailers, and management companies which need to administer multiple accounts while consolidating payments in one place," said Vik Jain, Chief Financial Officer of Musicane.

The first content distributor to utilize the Group Account Manager is KOCH Records, the largest independent music company in the U.S. In particular, KOCH plans to take advantage of Musicane's unique features to enable select KOCH artists to sell ringtones and other content directly from their community network profiles.

"With the explosion of activity on community based sites, Musicane enables our artists to reach their fans with ringtones and other digital sales from their social network profiles and home pages without sending them elsewhere," said William Crowley, Vice President, Special Markets of KOCH Records. "The immediacy of the service will engage fans more directly and open up possibilities that were not available previously. It is a win/win for artists and their fans."
