 Los Angeles, CA (SPOTLIGHT PUBLICITY) - The Los Angeles County High School for the Arts Alumni Association proudly announces their First Annual Hollywood Tribute Event sponsored by Neutrogena. This important event will honor alumni, corporations who have shown a marked support for arts education and outstanding educators within the school. This year's honorees are: Grammy Award nominee Alumnus Josh Groban; Warner Bros.; Jerry Freedman, Chair of the Social Studies Department and Ka-Ron Brown Lehman, Artistic Director of the Dance Department with the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. This evening of recognition will take place at the grand Century City Plaza Hotel on Thursday August 31st, 2006 and is by invitation only. The evening will be attended by many of Hollywood's elite and up and coming artists and will feature a special congratulations by Celine Dion and musical performances by high profile alumni. "We are proud to host this landmark event that will become an anticipated and important tradition for the school and alumni," states Elaine Boyer Stephens, Committee Chair of the Hollywood Tribute Event. The Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA) opened in 1985 and provides specialized instruction and training in dance, music, theatre and visual arts. The school is a California Distinguished School for academic excellence and a Golden Bell recipient for its outstanding visual arts program as well as a Bravo Award recipient for excellence in arts education. The LACHSA Alumni Association celebrates the encouragement and promotion of the success of LACHSA, LACHSA students, and LACHSA alumni. Proceeds from this event will help ensure continued funding of Alumni programs such as master classes and workshops, Alumni Association donations to the school, and scholarships that aide the continued education and endeavors of talented graduating seniors preparing to embark on their journey beyond LACHSA.
