 NEW YORK, NY(Arista Records)- With an explosive single " Doing Too Much" out at Top 40 radio, Paula DeAnda will be releasing her self-titled debut on August 29th on Arista Records. Paula DeAnda features production by Happy Perez, Stargate, and Frankie J, among others. She also benefited from the creative involvement of songwriter/recording artist Ne-Yo, chartmaking rapper Lil' Wayne, labelmate Baby Bash, renowned hitmaker Timbaland, and Grammy-winning songwriter Diane Warren. This album is filled with future hits, showcasing Paula's skills as both a premiere vocalist and talented songwriter; she contributed to six of the CD's thirteen cuts. 16 year old DeAnda's first single "Doing Too Much" featuring Baby Bash continues to burn up the airwaves having reached 40 million in audience at the Top 40 and Rhythm formats. (By comparison, Christina Aguilera's current smash single has a 42 million audience). Her video premiered on MTV's "TRL" last month and is currently in rotation at MTV. In addition, Paula just performed her hit single this month on "Regis & Kelly" and will appear tonight on "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson." She has a huge web presence and is a featured artist on Yahoo!'s "The New Now" promotion which runs throughout the month. She currently clocks over 96,000 friends at MySpace, and is one of the most searched artists on the site. (Justin Timberlake has 100K friends, Madonna 72K, Ciara 85K, and Paris Hilton has 81K friends on MySpace.) All of this activity has transpired since she was signed on the spot to Arista at her audition for Clive Davis in March.
