LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts) - The new Modern Romance album has finally been completed. It is called "Moves 2 Fast" and is already raising interest in the industry.

The album includes 8 previous hits, completely re-recorded. The tracks still retain the original melody, but they've been modernised, and obviously incorporate up-to-date sounds. The album also features three other tracks, two of them being brand new compositions.
Guest appearances on the album include Mikey Craig, from Culture Club, Martin Shaw, from Jamiroquai, and John Themis, who co-wrote Emma Bunton's hit, "What Took You So Long?" and is also very involved with Boy George's band, as well as Culture Club.

Despite the passing of time, the band still have a reputation for being very lively, & having fun on stage. Trumpet player Martin, and keyboard player and Musical Director Chaz, a.k.a. "Da Bat", (Andy says Chaz is a genius), have on more than one occasion, performed impromptu, unrehearsed, dance routines, which seem to grab the attention - whether for the right reasons or not, is a matter of opinion! Guitarist Simon, Bass player Jon and Percussionist Gabriel, also unable to stand still and perform, complete the line-up. However, Andy will be bringing in a couple more musicians at a later date, to "give things another dimension".

Overall, Andy intends to work "all over the land", taking with him his band, and their recipe for fun and sunshine. Whatever the weather, it's always a sunny Latin party when Modern Romance are in town.

Need proof?

Come along and join the party. I challenge you to stand still !!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the UK, a recording deal is being negotiated, in place of a temporary licensing deal currently used to distribute the album. The intended release, as a first single, is the track entitled "Mi Chica Latina".

As many of you may already be aware, the film "Shrek" has helped re-launch the band's profile, featuring "Best Years of our Lives", (a cover version by the Baha Men), on the soundtrack of this massive film."Best Years of Our Lives". It is played in its entirety, as the credits go up at the end of the film - which means that everybody leaves the building singing / whistling or humming that particular song!

Great stuff, considering the album which the band are currently recording, will include a re-recording of "Best Years", with the possibility of releasing it as a single.
