NEW YORK (RoadRunner Records) - The Grammy-nominated, ground-breaking and genre-defining Killswitch Engage is back in the studio recording As Daylight Dies, the follow up to 2004's The End of Heartache, and 2005's Gold-certified DVD, (Set This) World Ablaze.

The quintet, who have risen to the highest echelon of their genre and have influenced many bands in the process, will release their fourth album and third for Roadrunner, on November 21st. With The End of Heartache approaching Gold certification, the members of Killswitch Engage are currently writing and recording at Zing Studios in their hometown of Westfield, MA. Guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz (Underoath, Unearth) is handling production and mixing duties, as he has on all previous KsE releases.

"Everyone is excited about the new material," says bassist Mike D'Antonio. "We went back to the basics of everyone contributing on this record. We can't wait to get it out." The band, scheduled to perform at the famed Reading and Leeds festivals in the UK in August, will hit the road for a string of US dates this fall.

Killswitch Engage have not merely become standard-bearers for an entire generation of bands, with The End of Heartache (released in May 2004), the standard was trampled and pushed aside. Heavy music was once again re-ignited by a band unafraid to rewrite the rules of the game. Anchored by the singles "The End of Heartache" and "Rose of Sharyn," the album was called "stunning" by Rolling Stone, enabling the band to break down barriers for the hard rock music scene and appear on national TV shows, such as Jimmy Kimmel Live and Last Call with Carson Daly.

Building a diehard fan base through incessant touring, the band's success continues to grow exponentially. They've toured as a headliner throughout the world and as main support for Slayer. Additionally, KsE did their second tour of duty on 2005's Ozzfest as the 2nd stage headliners and were on the inaugural Taste of Chaos Tour, alongside My Chemical Romance and The Used.

Stay tuned for more news, music and video previews in coming months as Roadrunner gets you ready for this hotly anticipated release. In the meantime, visit www.killswitchengage.com for the latest updates
