Nashville, TN. (Johnny Reid Official Website) - Scottish-born singer/songwriter, Johnny Reid, has signed a long-term exclusive publishing agreement with Nashville-based Moraine Music Group.

Nominated for five 2006 Canadian Country Music Awards including Chevy Truck's Rising New Star, Songwriter of the Year for his smash No 1 hit, Missing an Angel, Single of the Year, Independent Artist of the Year and Independent Single of the Year, Reid relocated to Canada from Scotland when he was a teenager. Currently, Reid is in the studio recording his next album with Moraine President and Grammy award-winning producer, Brent Maher.

'Simply put, Johnny Reid, is an incredible talent. The songs he writes are touching people; they're real and from the heart.' said Maher. 'As a singer, Johnny's has an unmistakable unique vocal quality that separates him from the crowd. We catch all of his vocals live in the room with the band with everybody grooving at the same time…what a concept.'

Reid's songs have been recorded by such artists as Emerson Drive and Gaelic Storm, and his song, 'Play it as it Lies,' was featured on the CBS telecast of the 2004 Master's golf tournament. Since the release of his 2005 album, 'Born to Roll,' Reid's Canadian tour dates include opening for Terri Clark and Brad Paisley. This fall, Reid will embark on a six-city tour of the Maritimes and Ontario opening for Dwight Yoakam.
