(Underoath Official Websites) - When UNDEROATH, one of the biggest rock success stories of the year, suddenly announced they were leaving the Vans Warped Tour two weeks before the trek's conclusion, the fate of the band looked uncertain and in fact bleak. Dramatic internal struggles were taking place while an Alternative Press magazine writer was on the road with the band, and it's documented in the current UNDEROATH cover story in the new October 2006 issue.

Now, after taking a brief hiatus to resolve the issues that were threatening the band's existence, UNDEROATH have emerged stronger and more cohesive as a unit than ever before. "We're sorry we had to drop off tour in the Northeast," notes guitarist TIM MCTAGUE. "Our situation was critical and we had to work through old issues that were hindering us from functioning as a band together. We're excited to be back on the road and we'll definitely come back to the Northeast in the spring to make things up to our fans."

With this new energy, the band will return to the road in September for a Canadian headlining tour with Silverstein, Moneen and He Is Legend. Next, the group heads overseas for the Taste of Chaos international tour with Taking Back Sunday, Thursday and others.

Their explosive album DEFINE THE GREAT LINE on Seattle indie Tooth & Nail/Solid State debuted at No 2 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart, with over 97,000 copies sold in the first week alone. Critical acclaim continues to follow the group. In the October 2006 Alternative Press cover story, the writer hails DEFINE THE GREAT LINE as "an unrelenting examination of self that tests the bounds of hope, faith and forgiveness that's as technical as it is melodic and uncompromising as it is inspirational."

UNDEROATH-lead vocalist SPENCER CHAMBERLAIN, guitarist TIM MCTAGUE, bassist GRANT BRANDELL, drummer AARON GILLESPIE, keyboardist CHRISTOPHER DUDLEY and guitarist JAMES SMITH-plan to stay on the road well into 2007.
