LONDON, UK (Cool To Be Kind Official Website) - Cool To Be Kind, the free concert in support of Amnesty International taking place Saturday 23rd September, from 2pm to 7pm in Waterlow Park, Highgate Hill, London sees new Protest Recordings signing dibidim perform at this one day open air concert and rocking it out for humanity in support of Amnesty. The concert organised by 'Cool to Be Kind', the brainchild of Sri Lankan-born singer-songwriter Manjari, will also feature The Ailerons, Mobo award nominee Keisha White, Eskiimo, and Manjari herself, plus other special guests.

Cool To Be Kind has arranged 'Golden Circle' entry guest places for 500 people. To apply for a place, email [email protected]. All 500 'Golden Circle' guests, selected at random, will also automatically go into a draw to win four backstage passes. Winners will be notified by email on 22nd September.

The event is free but donations will be collected at the event for Amnesty.
Manjari says: "I am passionate about humanity due to first hand experience of poverty and racial oppression ... my band and I have been playing and recording songs of peace under the banner "Cool to be Kind" to promote awareness to audiences that there is a ground swell of activity towards humanity and world peace amongst musicians."

dibidim are Jonas Raabe and Jeron Gundersen. The pair met in Liverpool 7 years ago, drawn by the city's historic impact and ongoing influence at the cutting edge of music. Their debut EP on Regal in 2004 marked them as talents to watch, and with the forthcoming album 'Riders' on Protest Recordings (Autumn 06) they're back to win over your hearts with their glacial yet emotive songs. Their forthcoming album 'Riders' is a powerful electric symphony consisting of songs that deal with death, tragedy, love, hope and peace as recurring themes. Inspired by water, seabirds, classical themes, epic synth lines and 8-bit drum sounds, dibidim are on a mission to defrost all frozen hearts.
