Having been raised in Foreman, Arizona, Lawrence feels right at home in the rugged Southwest and that affinity for the majestic landscape came through during his incredible achievement on The Ledges' golf course on September 7th, the day before his terrific concert in town.
At the 127-yard, par 3 hole No 12, which overlooks breathtaking Snow Canyon, Lawrence took his shot but, because the hole location was positioned on the back side of the green and was completely hidden from view at the tee, he and his buddies couldn't see where the ball came to rest. It was only when they arrived on the green that they realized he had—amazingly—hit a hole-in-one. Knowing he'd met the challenge of Matt Dye's tough placement of the hole added to the satisfaction of such a rare accomplishment and put this wildly popular performer on the growing list of legendary moments on The Ledges' links.
