LOS ANGELES (Rhino Entertainment) - Sam was the first ever artist to be honored at the Mobo Awards (Music Of Black Origin) in London, England with a Lifetime Achievement Award!

"The highlight of the evening's BBC televised show came at the end when soul legend Sam Moore brought the house down with a blistering rendition of 'Soul Man.'" - Daily Mirror

Sam was presented the award at the Royal Albert Hall ceremony by close friend and legendary performer in his own right Steve Winwood, who's also featured on Moore's new album Overnight Sensational, out now worldwide.

Sam brought the house down with a dazzling performance of "I Can't Stand The Rain" with lucky UK soul singer Keisha White before closing the show with his Grammy Award-winning hit "Soul Man" to a rapturous applause and standing ovation.

For years Sam Moore was best known for his work with the historic soul duo Sam & Dave. The rapid-fire style, built on the call and response of gospel, was fashioned and pioneered by Sam, whose unmistakable if not incredible voice became his trademark. Songs like "Hold On I'm Coming," "I Thank You," "When Something Is Wrong With My Baby," "Soul Sister," "Brown Sugar," "Wrap It Up" and his monster hit "Soul Man" catapulted him up both the Pop and R & B Charts selling more than 10 million records worldwide.

The album Sam Moore Overnight Sensational has recently been released. Incomparably produced by Randy Jackson, the famous bass player/record executive/talent judge, the album features an amazing array of 22 of Sam's friends and fans like Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Sting, Vince Gill, Travis Tritt, Paul Rodgers, Eric Clapton, Billy Preston, Billy Gibbons, and Wynonna, who celebrate Sam by adding a touch here and there on material by writers ranging from Diane Warren and Garth Brooks to Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun.
