LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts) - Alanis Morissette has added a second leg to her North American itinerary in support of Under Rug Swept for the first half of June while also scratching a half-dozen concerts that had been tentatively scheduled in the Southeast.

New gigs are based in the Northeast, beginning May 30 in Philadelphia. They include radio festival appearances in Boston and New York on June 1 and 2, respectively. A third radio-related performance is slotted for June 15 in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, shows listed for nearly a month on Morissette's website (alanismorrissette.com) in the Southeast were not finalized and are no longer on the itinerary, according to a spokesperson for the artist. Dates not included on Morissette's routing now are from May 20-27, including the Florida cities of Daytona Beach, Tampa, and West Palm Beach; as well as Pelham, Alabama; Atlanta; and Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Shows in Europe will now take place during that stretch.

Ryan Adams serves as the opening act for the first leg, which kicks off May 1 in San Diego. No support act for the second set of dates has been announced.

Meanwhile, Morissette is currently in Los Angeles shooting a video in various locations for her next single, "Precious Illusions." The clip is being directed by Francis Lawrence, whose recent work includes Incubus's "Warning," the Goo Goo Dolls' "Here Is Gone," and P.O.D.'s "Alive."
