Indie Single From 15Five Productions On San Antonio KBBT 98.5 Is Industry First

MONTEREY, CA (BeanBagOne.com) - On Monday, September 25, 2006, KBBT San Antonio, The Beat 98.5, played 15Five Production's DaARMY radio edit of "It Wobble" on the 'Crunk or Junk' on-air competition at 9:30PM CDT. By 9:45PM the vote was 82 'Crunk' out of 98 phone calls. Immediately thereafter, "It Wobble" by DaARMY began regular rotation daily airplay on 98.5 with BDS tracking verification. 15Five became the first undistributed independent label to have a release added to regular rotation at industry recognized KBBT 98.5 The Beat.

Prior to adding the record, the radio station conducted a vote for the best new group and out of 23 nominated, 15Five Production's DaARMY received the call from the station's Program Director informing them that they won with a commanding 36% of the vote. The prize for winning the station's contest was DaARMY appearing in concert August 13 in front of 13,000 fans at the AT&T Center in San Antonio along with Hip-Hop icons Triple 6 Mafia and Chamillionaire.

In another major development, 15Five's DaARMY will be featured on the new single 'hey momi' by Shaun Black from the upcoming Wu Tang Mix tape (Wu-Latino) release which includes tracks from Method Man, Ghostface, and Paul Wall among others.

DaARMY first performed 'It Wobble' at two high schools in San Antonio last spring and nearly caused riots (one show was stopped), as kids wouldn't stop singing 'It Wobbles when she walks.' 15Five Productions released a mix tape titled 'Byrd Season' featuring the single, 'It Wobble' that has sold-out the initial 5,000 copies at appearances to date, with more being manufactured. The group has performed at over 50 shows creating a huge buzz throughout Texas.
