NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) - A few new details have surfaced regarding the automobile accident that has sidelined Creed frontman Scott Stapp.

According to a spokesperson for the band at Wind-Up Records, Stapp is suffering from neck and back injuries sustained when the vehicle he was driving was whacked from behind by another vehicle near Orlando, Fla.

Stapp's condition is currently being evaluated by physical therapists. The singer did not suffer any broken bones in the accident. Once a determination has been made on his condition and its recovery time, the decision will then be made as to when to reschedule the tour.

Stapp was reportedly driving a Cadillac SUV at the time of the accident, which took place on Interstate 4, a stretch of highway that runs from Tampa, Fla., through Orlando, and on to Daytona Beach, Fla., on April 19.
