New York, NY (Atlantic Records) - It is with much regret that JET have been forced to postpone part of their current European tour, from 14 to 25 October. Lead singer Nic Cester developed acute laryngitis and completely lost his voice in New York two weeks ago. The band postponed two shows (which have now been re-scheduled) and Nic rested his voice, before completing the rest of their US run. However, despite best efforts, Nic has developed nodules on his vocal chords as a result of returning to the live arena before he had completely recovered. The good news is that the nodules are small and with rest and treatment they should disappear completely. Nic will now spend the next two weeks in London undergoing specialist treatment before recommencing their world touring schedule in support of new album Shine On, which was released last week. JET would like to apologise to those fans who have already purchased tickets, and the band has vowed to make up all missed shows. The following dates have been postponed and will be re-scheduled: 14 October – Elysee Montmatre, Paris 15 October – Melkweg, Amsterdam 16 October – Grosse Freiheit, Hamburg 17 October – Postbahnhof, Berlin 19 October – Muffathalle, Munich 20 October – New Age Club, Treviso 21 October – Rolling Stone, Milan 22 October – City Halle, Winterhur 24 October – Razzamataza, Barcelona 25 October – Arena, Madrid Tickets for original shows will be valid for re-scheduled dates. A further announcement regarding re-scheduled dates will be made shortly.
