NEW YORK (Universal Motown) - Expectations are indeed "high" for Da Family/Blackground Records' teen phenomenon JoJo and her aptly titled new album "The High Road," scheduled to hit stores today. Industry pundits are now forecasting an impressive debut on Billboard's Top 200 Album chart for the sophomore effort, which has already blazed unprecedented new territory with the record-breaking first single "Too Little Too Late," leaping an amazing 63 spots on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart during only its second week of release. The hit song garnered one of the biggest jumps in the history of the Billboard format, and is heading toward the coveted No 1 spot on the Hot 100 and Top 40 Chart. The teen sensation will perform on NBC's "Today Show" and appear on MTV's top rated "TRL," where her video has currently peaked at No 2, on October 17 to showcase her new album and single.

A multi-format smash, produced by mentor and producer Vincent Herbet, the stirring song was the perfect re-entry for the 16 year old Boston native, whose previous platinum-plus self-titled debut album reached No 4 on the Billboard Top 200 albums Chart and launched the No 12 smash "Leave (Get Out)." The video for that single also garnered an MTV Video Music Award nomination, making the prolific JoJo the youngest nominee in the history of the MTV Awards.

JoJo who has proven to be multi-faceted, is also enjoying the success of her burgeoning movie career. Earlier this year she appeared in "Aquamarine" with co-star Emma Roberts and "RV" alongside industry veteran, Robin Williams, which debuted No 1 at the box office.

But it's the much anticipated "The High Road" that has music fans buzzing right now, featuring a lineup of acclaimed, award winning writers and producers including Scott Storch, Swizz Beat, and Soulshock and Karlan, the dynamic duo behind her inaugural smash "Leave (Get Out.)" The legendary songwriter Diane Warren also contributes her talent to the new disc with the uplifting ballad "Exceptional." JoJo also displays her own co-writing skills on the new album on the sumptuous soul offering "How To Touch A Girl." Other tracks included on "The High Road" include "This Time," produced by Scott Storch, and the beat-driven "The Way You Do Me" produced by Swizz Beatz.

JoJo will be followed by Yahoo's The Track, which allows fans to go inside JoJo's album release week. Past artists include Gwen Stefani and Pink. She is also scheduled for several other TV appearances to promote the new album, including "Live With Regis And Kelly" on October 18, "The Late Show With Jay Leno" on October 20, "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on October 25, "The Megan Mullally Show" on October 27, and "The View" on November 7.

JoJo will be signing copies of her new cd "The High Road" at Best Buy at Palisades Center Mall in West Nyack, N.Y. tonight from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a live remote broadcast by Z100.
