SAN FRANCISCO (By Tara Melega/ Sony BMG) - Multi-platinum alternative rockers Incubus and Verizon Wireless have created a unique opportunity for fans — a private concert and an invitation to help create a music video for the first single off of Incubus much anticipated new album Light Grenades. Concert clips and songs from the album will premiere exclusively on Verizon Wireless V CAST following the event.

Over six hundred fans will attend a private show in San Francisco this Friday, October 20, and will be encouraged to use their V CAST Music phones to record video of the bands performance of 'Anna Molly,' the first single from the new album. The final music video, assembled from images submitted by fans, will run on YouTube, Yahoo! Music and Verizon Wireless V CAST service.

Fans may obtain tickets to the opportunity in two ways: free with the purchase of an LG Chocolate phone at select Bay Area Verizon Wireless Communication stores during the week prior to the performance and through radio promotions in 14 cities.

Those who purchase an LG Chocolate phone at one of the select Bay Area Verizon Wireless stores will obtain a 'barcode' ticket by sending a message from their new phone to a dedicated text short-code with the key word 'TICKET.'

Lucky radio winners from Albuquerque, Colorado Springs, Denver, Fresno, Honolulu, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Portland, Sacramento, San Diego, Santa Barbara, Seattle and Tuscon will be flown in for the event.

Video clips of the October 20 private performance will be available through V CAST just after the show. In addition, for the next two months, several of Incubus new songs will be available to download as full-length songs, ringtones, and Ringback Tones exclusively through Verizon Wireless. Incubus new album, Light Grenades, will not hit stores or Internet music retailers for six weeks after the music debuts on V CAST.

'Verizon Wireless is taking music video to the next level, giving fans unprecedented access to creating content featuring their favorite artists through their wireless phones,' said Rich Garwood, regional president for Verizon Wireless in Northern California and Nevada.

'Part of the thrill and excitement of performing live is interacting with our fans from the stage,' said Incubus guitarist Mike Einziger. 'What better way to further that direct connection, than to have our fans capture our new music and performance from their point of view and share that with others.'

Incubus is gearing up to release Light Grenades, their sixth studio album on November 28th. The highly anticipated new album – which was produced by renowned producer Brendan OBrien (Pearl Jam, Bob Dylan, Korn) – is a mix of hard rocking songs and sublime ballads recorded over the last year in both Los Angeles and Atlanta. This is Incubus first new music since A Crow Left of the Murder, which spawned the hit 'Megalomaniac.'

Boyd, Einziger and Pasillas formed Incubus in 1991 when they were high school classmates in Calabasas, California. DJ Kilmore joined in 1998. The bands big break came in 1999 with the singles, 'Pardon Me,' 'Stellar' and 'Drive' from their second full-length Make Yourself, which went double-platinum. The groups third album, Morning View was released in 2001, debuted at number two on the album chart and included the radio hits 'Wish You Were Here,' 'Nice to Know You' and 'Warning.' Kenney joined the band in 2003. The most recent release from Incubus, A Crow Left of the Murder, achieved platinum status and was released in 2004.
