The critically-acclaimed album was released May 11, 2004 and spent a record nine weeks atop the Billboard Country Albums Chart. Her first single 'Redneck Woman' spent a record six weeks at No 1 and has reached well over 100,000 digital downloads. Gretchen recently completed her first book, which will hit stores next Tuesday, October 31, 2006. Entitled Redneck Woman – Stories from My Life, she will make numerous stops to promote the book in the coming week. On Thursday, November 2, she will perform 'Heaven Help Me,' a special song featured in a free DVD inside each book, on 'Good Morning America.' November 3rd will see her promoting the book on 'Imus In The Morning,' 'Live With Regis & Kelly' and the new 'Rachel Ray Show.' That same night an ABC 20/20 feature will air on the network, and various appearances on CMT and GAC will begin airing this week.
