Dayton, OH (Indieheaven.com) - Dayton, OH group, dustinburke Band recently wrapped up recording of Indieheaven's MOMENTUM SCHOLARSHIP CD, which was awarded at their annual CIA SUMMIT conference on March 24, 2006.

It is an amazing concept to watch two very different organizations come together - and for a moment in time join visions and missions to have a greater impact than what they could on their own. I feel as if the Indieheaven president, Keith Mohr states, "When I sensed the Lord leading me to offer a scholarship project to an Indieheaven artist, I immediately thought of Jim Cooper to handle the production. Jim was the producer of the smash hit record, 'Glory Defined' for the group Building 429. B-429 was New artist of the year for 2005 and Glory Defined was the fastest rising song to No 1 in CCM history. B-429 also happens to be an Indieheaven alumni. Jim has produced many other incredible projects including Indieheaven member, Tresa Jordan, who won best country artist in our Momentum Awards, so I knew if we could get Jim, we would have a world class project. I asked Jim and he said yes. And, he gave us a reduced rate for the production because he believed in the CD Partner project.

"We then started our search for a band who was pursuing passion and excellence in their music mission. We also wanted a band who had a strong work ethic, reaching people often in a live setting. We also wanted the band to be based on Psalm 51:17, which says, 'A broken and contrite heart God will not despise.' We're after servants who understand it takes hard work, hard faith, dedication, perseverance, passion and excellence to be a success.

"We searched Indieheven for months looking for a group and we came across the dustinburke Band. We loved the music they had already recorded with Barry Blair, we checked their schedule and learned the band was busy, and their bio info and news sure looked good to us. We approached the dustinburke Band about the opportunity and they were very excited to do it with us. Next, it was to agree to the terms."

The agreement was simple. No lawyers were hired. The band gets the master, keeps their publishing, keeps their copyrights, and keeps the money from sales of their music. What's in it for Indieheaven? Simple.. Obedience and the blessings it brings, and also knowing Indieheaven is fulfilling its mission of Bringing Artists to The World.

When asked about the recent endeavor with Indieheaven Dustin said, "it is an amazing concept to watch two very different organizations come together - and for a moment in time join visions and missions to have a greater impact than what they could on their own. I feel as if the "big-church" of Jesus Christ could stand to learn a lesson from what Keith has set in motion - linking arms with no strings attached simply because we believe in one another. The band & I are hugely grateful to Keith and all of the indieheaven family for pouring into our lives & ministry. We hope to make them proud as we continue to move towards what's in our hearts - making little of us & much of Jesus"

Dustin also shares, "I'm more excited than ever about where we're going. I can't look back at what God has done in our lives and not have confidence about where He's taking us. He enabled us to make an incredible record with Producer Barry Blair. He gave us a beautiful RV and brand new trailer as a gift from someone who believed in our ministry. He allowed us to work with Jim Cooper on this new record and used IH to fully fund a ground-breaking project. Also, the band is excited about their new partnership with NightVision Artist Management. Nightvision is fully onboard to give direction, insight, and a new level of opportunity to our band. I could go on & on. God's blessings on our ministry is the most humbling experience I've ever been a part of. Just like a son to a dad...we don't want to disapoint Him. His grace & mercy keeps us passionately pursuiting Him and challenging others to do the same. We want to be the hardest working band to ever pick up their guitars because that's what Christ deserves."

Indieheaven president, Keith Mohr states, "It is our hope that the dustinburke Band's album is the first of many, many excellent projects that come out of this revolutionary concept."

Recording recently wrapped up and we have the songs from the project available to be previewed on Dustin's Indieheaven page. We also kept a blog of the recording sessions and documented our thoughts as the project was produced at: Momentum Blog.com
