Songs Of The Year Concert & TV Special Becomes 'Desperate'

LEBANON, TN. (Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc.) -– With the release of the exclusive Songs Of The Year CD, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, Inc. (“Cracker Barrel”), Great American Country (GAC), and Vector Management is proud to announce the addition of Desperate Housewives star Jamie Denton to co-host the evenings events with country superstar Trace Adkins. In addition, music icon Merle Haggard, beauty Lorrie Morgan, along with hot newcomers Eric Church and Josh Gracin have been added to perform during the two-hour concert special and behind-the scenes documentary to air on GAC. Taking place November 5th at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville, the concert will feature many of the artists on the Songs Of The Year CD.

GAC will premiere its Songs Of The Year documentary on November 21 at 8pm. The two-hour Songs Of The Year concert special will premiere January 27th at 9pm.

On sale at 547 Cracker Barrel locations and online at crackerbarrel.com, the exclusive Songs Of The Year CD features today�s top country artists performing songs that earned “Song of the Year” recognition from the Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music or Grammy awards. The following artists are featured on the CD and will perform at the Songs Of The Year concert.

The “Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Presents Songs Of The Year” concert is part of “Nashville Celebrates Country,” a week of events and activities leading up to “The 40th Annual CMA Awards,” which will be held November 6th and broadcast live on the ABC Television Network (8pm-11pm). The concert is an invitation-only performance; tickets will not be sold to this event.
