Nashville SONGWRITER RECOGNIZED BY INTERNATIONAL CONTEST

Song of the Year is an international songwriting contest supporting VH-1�s Save the Music Foundation. The Song of the Year judges are some of the biggest names in music including many Grammy Award winners. Song of the Year is excited to recognize Brian for his exceptional songwriting ability for the song, �Wendy�s New House�. Brian competed against songwriters from all over the world for this honor. When asked what inspired the song Emmel commented that a friend, with whom he had been living at the time in Los Angeles, had a best friend named Wendy who died in her sleep leaving behind two daughters and a husband. He wanted to write this song for his friend to give her peace during her grieving period. Currently Emmel is concentrating on his music career while hoping to make a househ! old name as a songwriter and to publish more guitar method books with Hal Leonard and Centerstream publishing companies.
