20th Century Fox's "Borat: Cultural Learnings of
America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan" exploded into theatres last Friday, smashing box-office records on its way to debuting as the weekend's #1 release. The official soundtrack, "BORAT: STEREOPHONIC MUSICAL LISTENINGS THAT HAVE BEEN ORIGIN IN MOVING FILM 'BORAT: CULTURAL LEARNINGS OF AMERICA FOR MAKE BENEFIT GLORIOUS NATION OF KAZAKHSTAN'" -- released by Kuzçek Records, in association with Downtown/Atlantic Records -- is in stores now.
"BORAT: STEREOPHONIC MUSICAL LISTENINGS THAT HAVE BEEN ORIGIN IN MOVING FILM 'BORAT: CULTURAL LEARNINGS OF AMERICA FOR MAKE BENEFIT GLORIOUS NATION OF KAZAKHSTAN'" includes hilarious excerpts from the film alongside a variety of musical selections, such as the Borat classic "In My Country There Is Problem (Throw The Jew Down The Well)." Among the album's many attractions is the original musical number, "You Be My Wife" -- available exclusively on the soundtrack.
As if all that weren't enough, the Enhanced CD also features three video segments, including an exclusive sing-a-long rendition of "O Kazakhstan," specifically tailored for the soundtrack. In addition, the soundtrack will include the Borat theme and other key songs from the movie as well as excerpts from the film's score.

"Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan" was last week's #1 film debut, with ticket sales of $26.4 million at only 837 theatres -- breaking the box office record for a movie opening at fewer than 1000 locations.
The film -- which sees Kazakhstani television journalist Borat Sagdiyev traveling from his home in Kazakhstan to the "U.S. and A" to report on the "greatest country in the world" -- arrived amidst a major promotional schedule, including Sagdiyev appearances on CBS's "The Late Show with David Letterman," Comedy Central's "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and NBC's "Saturday Night Live," "Today," and "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" (which was highlighted by Borat's first nationally televised musical performance of "You Be My Wife").
