LOS ANGELES, CA. (Fox Sports) - Building on its tradition of bringing together the very best in Latino sports and entertainment during its one-of-a-kind Premios Fox Sports presented by DHL, Fox Pan American Sports today announced that Latin Grammy winner Juan Fernando Fonseca (Fonseca) will be among the performers at this year's awards show.

Known simply as Fonseca to his legion of fans, Colombian singer Juan Fernando Fonseca has catapulted himself to the top of the music charts in his native country. His most recent album, 'Corazon,' not only went double platinum in Colombia, but also yielded a hit single that remained atop the radio charts for 22 consecutive weeks. Poised for tremendous success in the United States and throughout the Spanish-speaking Americas, the two-time Latin Grammy nominee won his first Latin Grammy this year in the 'Best Tropical Song' category for his mega hit 'Te mando flores.' Earlier in 2006, Fonseca was named 'Best New Artist Central' by MTV Latin America.

'Our 4th Annual Premios Fox Sports already is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated events of the year,' said Jim Ganley, chief financial officer for Fox Pan American Sports. 'We are proud to have Fonseca onboard as one of this year's performers and look forward to what we expect will be a night to remember.'

The 4th Annual Premios Fox Sports, the only awards program of its kind to recognize the contributions and accomplishments of Latino athletes and personalities from the world of sports both on and off the field, will be held on December 14, 2006 in Miami Beach, Florida. Winners in three categories were voted on exclusively by fans via text messaging, while honorees in 14 additional categories will be selected by an expert panel of judges. The show will be telecast on December 17 in the United States on Fox Sports en Español and throughout the Spanish-speaking Americas on Fox Sports Latin America.
