International Reggae Artist Mikey Dread to Play So. CA

Hollywood, CA (Howard Presents) - One of the most influential performers and innovators in reggae music, Mikey Dread combines his abilities, technical expertise, and unique vocal delivery to create a unique sound that tells the listener emphatically that it is the "Dread at the Controls." Perhaps best known for his work and collaboration with renowned London punk stars The Clash, as well as being the pioneer of broadcasting reggae music worldwide, Mikey Dread brings his electrifying performance to Southern California for two very special shows on Friday December 29 in Pacific Beach and Saturday December 30 in West Los Angeles.

710 Beach Club, the concert venue in Pacific Beach formally known as Blind Melons will host the first half of this pair of Mikey Dread Southern California performances on Friday December 29. Supporting acts for the evening will be Ventura's Rising Son along with Carlsbad's Stone Senses.

Saturday December 30th brings Mikey Dread to West L.A. for the second half of this pair of high energy, interactive shows. Hosting this event will be The Joint located at 8771 Pico Blvd near the corner of Pico & Robertson. Opening once again for the "Dread at the Controls" will be Stone Senses.

Doors open for both events at 8:30 pm with music starting at 9:00 pm. Tickets for Mikey Dread in Pacific Beach and West Los Angeles can be purchased in advance at the promoters website www.howardpresents.com without a service charge, or through all Ticketmaster locations. Capacity is very limited at both locations, so concertgoers are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance.
