Opening for country supergroup, Lonestar, Thomas will perform December 31 from 9:30-11:00 p.m. on the Main Stage in the heart of downtown Atlanta. The free celebration begins at noon and runs until 4:00 a.m. Thomas returns for the hometown performance after entertaining thousands of soldiers throughout the Middle East on a two-week USO Holiday Tour December 11-24 with country stars Darryl Worley and Mark Wills. Drawing more than 175,000 in previous years, the Peach Drop continues to be the highlight of downtown Atlanta! The magnificent 800-pound peach will begin its much-anticipated 65 second decent shortly before midnight to the New Year. Crowds will see a colorful fireworks display that will light up the night. The Peach Drop at Underground Atlanta will once again be presented by AirTran Airways for an amazing fourth year in a row and syndicated in over 40 markets.
