Madison Rock Act, SUNSPOT, Launch Into 2007 With The 'West Siyeede' Tour

SUNSPOT, Madison (www.sunspotmusic.com) - Wisconsin's geek-pop guitar rock band, is racing into 2007 with a Western tour covering states like Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, and Arizona. Capping off a year that included the band's first trip to Austin's South by Southwest music festival, over 80 tourdates, and a string of summer shows celebrating the tenth anniversary of the group, SUNSPOT's inaugural tour for 2007 is also serving as a preview of their new album, NEANDERTHAL, coming out in the first month of the new year.

The band's last record, 2005's Cynical, was nominated for the Wisconsin Area Music Industry's Album of the Year, while their 2003 record, Loser of the Year, won Best Rock Album at the Madison Area Music Awards and the band was awarded WAMI's 2005 Artist of the Year. Sunspot formed in 1996 at the University of Wisconsin.
