Nashville, Tennessee (Sony Records) - Gretchen Wilson joined some of the world's top ice skaters to tape her first network special, 'Gretchen Wilson's Country on Ice' before a live audience Nov. 8 in the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia. The exciting show will be broadcast on NBC-TV on Dec. 23 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST. Gretchen and her ¾ Ton Band performed a 14-song live concert with her full lights-and-sound set as the skaters displayed their talents in a variety of skating routines to her songs on the ice. The combination of country music's CMA, ACM, and Grammy winning artist with the Olympic, World, and National Champion skaters guarantee 'Gretchen Wilson's Country on Ice'' is much like her debut album - 'Here For the Party.' Always a crowd-pleaser, four-time World Champion Kurt Browning skated to the rousing 'All Jacked Up.' Two-time Olympic medalist Irina Slutskaya, six-time U.S. champion and World Champion Todd Eldredge and three-time U.S. titlist Michael Weiss, Jennifer Robinson, Caryn Kadavy, Amber Corwin and ice dancers Elizabeth Punsalan & Jerod Swallow skated to sometimes beautiful, sometimes high energy but always crowd-stirring interpretations of Gretchen's music. Included in the show were hits like 'Redneck Woman,' 'Here For The Party,' 'When I Think Abut Cheating' and 'California Girls' from Gretchen's Here For The Party and All Jacked Up albums as well as her new hit 'Come To Bed' and 'Heaven Help Me' from her upcoming third album due out this spring. The 'Gretchen Wilson's Country On Ice' special will re-air twice on The Style Network on Friday, January 5, 2007 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. EST and Sunday, January 7, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. - noon EST.
