Jason Michael Carroll Makes Opry Debut December 22, 2006

Nashville, TN (Arista Nashville) - Arista Nashville newcomer Jason Michael Carroll will make his Grand Ole Opry debut at the Ryman Auditorium on Friday, December 22. The 28-year-old North Carolina native will perform his self-penned debut hit, 'Alyssa Lies,' which has earned the distinction of being the fastest rising debut single by a male country artist in 2006.
Barely two months after its official radio impact date of October 16, 'Alyssa Lies' is now No 12 on country airplay charts, a testament to Carroll's rich, powerful delivery and the song's compelling portrait of abuse, seen through the eyes of a child and her father.

Waitin' In The Country, Jason Michael Carroll's debut disc, will be available to consumers on February 6, 2007. Produced by Don Gehman (John Mellencamp, Hootie & The Blowfish, R.E.M., Nanci Griffith), Carroll's disc features 11 selections, 5 of which are written or co-written by Carroll.
