LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ www.algoodwin.co.uk) - Album Information
Al Goodwin and the art of the singer/songwriter.
Twelve songs written and recorded by one man on his acoustic guitar at various stages of his life, has been a long time coming, but "Celebrate" is much more than a personal hymn to love, life and friendship. Al Goodwin is part of a new breed of singer/songwriters who grew up with Punk and Indie. After playing in numerous bands throughout the Eighties and Nineties he left the music scene feeling unfulfilled and demoralised, but continued to write and play his own music, recording demos on his laptop at home.

A chance meeting with producer/publisher Dave Whitelock of Smoking Frog Productions resulted in an offer to record at his studio in South Wales earlier this year. The result is twelve beautifully crafted songs featuring Al's searingly honest lyrics and gifted guitar playing.

Backed by a small band of professional musicians in the intimate surroundings of the studio and benefitting from Whitelock's sensitve production, " Celebrate " is inspired songwriting at its very best and will leave a lasting impression on the download generation in search of meaningful and honest songs.

"Did I say that about myself, I'm getting me confused with somebody else. I've always thought that knowledge is wealth, all my riches are for somebody else..." ( Time of my Life )
