LOS ANGELES (Metallica fans website) - Metallica played a secret show on Tuesday (June 4) under the name Spun at Club Kimo in San Francisco. Producer Bob Rock, who filled in on bass for the gig, joined guitarist/vocalist James Hetfield, drummer Lars Ulrich, and guitarist Kirk Hammett on stage for the 11-song set. The band, dubbed, "Bob's Band" debuted a new, untitled track and also played its Misfits cover "Die Die My Darling," as well as the Metallica classics "For Whom The Bell Tolls," "No Remorse," and "Leper Messiah." Also included were "I Disappear" and the rarely performed "Hit The Lights." The quartet kicked off the show with four of the Ramones songs the band has been working on for the forthcoming Ramones tribute album, "Commando," "Today Your Love Tomorrow The World," "53rd And 3rd," and "Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue."
