New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Mediasavvy PR) - Hip Hop Weekly magazine, the new glossy celebrity weekly from the founders of the pioneering hip hop magazine, The Source, Dave Mays and Raymond "Benzino" Scott, hits stands with its second glossy national issue this week. After breaking the story in the last issue, in this issue Hip Hop Weekly catches new power couple R&B superstar Whitney Houston and singer Brandy's little brother Ray J out to dinner in Los Angeles. Flavor of Love star and America's favorite loser, New York, has her own VH1 reality series, I Love New York. Hip Hop Weekly enlisted arch rival and former Flava Flav fave Pumkin to give New York her picks of the hottest I Love New York contestants. Hip Hop Weekly also catches up to Nick Cannon for an exclusive interview on the stars transition from Nickelodeon to MTV to serious dramatic roles like starring n the film "Bobby" alongside Laurence Fishburn, Sir Anthony Hopkins and Sharon Stone and also goes back stage at the Golden Globes with Jennifer Hudson, Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce, Jay Z and Diddy.

The Belly of The Beats
Hip Hop Weekly is now published every two weeks in its new glossy format and is available nationally at stores such as 7Eleven, Walgreen's, Rite Aid, Kmart, Pathmark and Walmart, as well as airport magazine retailers and magazine outlets in the UK and Canada. The magazine covers celebrity news, music, film, TV, fashion and sports from the perspective of the tens of millions of young Americans who identify with hip hop culture.

Hip Hop Weekly co-founders, Dave Mays and Raymond "Benzino" Scott have more than 18 years experience in publishing, having created The Source magazine-the first magazine/multi-media outlet to focus solely on hip hop-from Mays's dorm room at Harvard University in 1988. Hip Hop Weekly is their newest venture and will begin publishing weekly in June.

The debut glossy issue hit stands nationally the week of January 8th and featured breaking hip hop news on Whitney Houston's new love interest, Ray J, who most know as singer Brandy's little brother and the star of the UPN/My Network sitcom "One on One." Former Hot 97 New York radio host Sunny contributed "The Belly of The Beats," a regular column which featured Raekwon the Chef's special recipe for baked salmon. Marc Laidler, founder of 310 Motoring, the leading custom auto shop frequented by top urban celebrities, featured in his column "310 Whips," a look at T.I.'s custom Bentley GT this week.
