NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Crain's New York Business) - Top music executive Bryan Leach has been included in the 2007 issue of Crain's New York Business' annual "40 Under 40" list. This will be the 17th consecutive year the weekly business publication names New York's most promising entrepreneurs for the year ahead. Leach shares his esteemed recognition with the likes of Jason Binn, CEO and founder of Niche Media, and Angela Burt-Murray, Essence Magazine's editor-in-chief. Following in the path of former "40 Under 40" honorees including Russell Simmons, Andre Harrell, and Kevin Liles - each known for their monumental contributions to the business of music & entertainment - Leach is currently poised to become one of the industry's next moguls. "Crain's '40 Under 40' recognizes the finest young professional leaders New York City has to offer," said Jill Kaplan, publisher of Crain's New York Business. "While only a handful of this year's winners are already household names, our experience has shown that virtually all of these designees are destined to play a critical role in guiding New York's future for decades to come." Prior to assuming his current position as Senior Vice President of Urban/RCA Music Group & President of Polo Grounds Music/J Records, Leach served as Vice President of A&R at TVT Records. During his tenure at TVT, Leach was instrumental in creating and developing the urban roster. He discovered and developed some of the most influential artists in hip-hop, including Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz, the Ying Yang Twins and Pitbull, collectively selling over 10 million albums to date. Leach began his career at TVT in 1995 as Director of Artist Development before moving into the artist & repertoire sector. Bryan Leach is also founder of FanMale Inc., a not-for-profit organization, which establishes and supports mentoring relationships and internship opportunities for Harlem students.
