Santa Barbara (Top40 Charts/ Kings Of Spain Official Website, myspace.com/thekingsofspain) - Santa Barbara's favorite new band The Kings of Spain who recently won several rounds on NBC's Star Tomorrow are set to launch a series of live performances and new recordings according to frontman and lead singer/songwriter Will Loomis. Says Loomis, "Sadly, my good friend and original band member Adam Baltieri has left the band on amicable terms to pursue academic ambitions. We were fortunate to be able to find a great drummer, David Garske so quickly. We have also added Jeremy Sundance to the mix on organ to round out our sound. We are excited about our direction and can't wait to get out and play live and record with the new lineup." The Kings of Spain played a sold out New Years Eve show at the Whiskey in Hollywood as a sendoff for their good friend Adam. The Kings will be back at the Whiskey on Feb. 15th and at the Roxy on Mar. 31st with the new lineup. For local Santa Barbarans, the band will be playing two free shows in the next week at Jensen's Music and at Cold Springs Tavern. The Kings are riding the royal wave of popularity on the popular mp3.com.au site down in Australia. Their song, "Amplifire" is holding steady in the No 8 position currently and has been consistently in the top 10 over the last several months.
