Santa Monica, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Recording Academy) - WHO: Performances by Tony Bennett, the Dixie Chicks, Don Henley, Bruce Hornsby, John Mayer, Keb' Mo', Sam Moore, Michael McDonald, Timothy B. Schmit, Seal and Trisha Yearwood. The evening's hosts are Ed Begley, Jr. with Bernie Taupin.

Attendees include MusiCares Foundation and Recording Academy President Neil Portnow, and MusiCares Foundation Board Chairman Leslie E. Bider, who also serve as dinner chairs. Other dinner chairs include music industry and entertainment industry executives: Irving Azoff, Timothy Leiweke and Leslie Moonves. Past MusiCares Person of the Year honorees including Tony Bennett, Natalie Cole and Brian Wilson will be in attendance. In addition, a host of celebrities including Jackson Browne and Garth Brooks, along with prominent music industry and entertainment executives, are scheduled to attend.

WHAT: GRAMMY-winning singer/songwriter Don Henley will be honored as the 2007 MusiCares Person of the Year at a special event celebrating his extraordinary musical achievements and his philanthropic commitment to environmental and humanitarian causes. The Person of the Year benefit begins with a cocktail reception and silent auction sponsored by AEG featuring art works, music and sports memorabilia, travel, hotel and spa packages, and VIP concert experience packages. A gala dinner and live auction sponsored by VeriSign follow.

AUCTION: The live auction features a hand-signed, Don Henley inspired Chevy Tahoe. All vehicle options were personally chosen by Henley, and the vehicle boasts leather seats for the first two rows and a vinyl third row, E85 Flex Fuel, black billet grille, and 20" wheels. The car also comes with a limited edition EAGLES BOX featuring the band's original vinyl Asylum Records catalog, which showcases each of the seven albums that helped the band define an era. Each disc is packaged in a CD replica of the original vinyl album (including original album cover art and collector's versions of the original posters that are printed on comparable paper stock) and is enclosed in a retro, gatefold jacket. In addition, the winning bidder will receive a personally-autographed catalogue of Don Henley's CD's including Actual Miles, Building The Perfect Beast, The End Of The Innocence, I Can't Stand Still and Inside Job, and a "Gold Ticket" allowing the bearer plus a guest admittance to all Eagles 2007-08 concert tour dates. The celebration is highlighted by an award presentation and star-studded tribute concert.
Proceeds from the annual Person of the Year tribute provide essential support for MusiCares, which ensures that music people have a place to turn in times of financial, medical and personal need. For more information, please visit www.musicares.com.
