LOS ANGELES, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Prem Rawat Foundation) - The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF) has been invited to participate in the 49th Annual GRAMMY Awards Gift Lounge at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, February 8-10, 2007.

For Linda Pascotto, president of the Foundation: "It is an honor to be able to present our humanitarian activities to the presenters and performers at the GRAMMYs. The Foundation is proud of its international initiatives, which provide clean water and nutritious food to people in need around the world. In the last 18 months, we have distributed millions of free meals to people in need. We have volunteers in the field, and we also regularly partner with such reputable organizations as the United Nations World Food Programme, the Red Cross, and Oxfam in order to bring food aid in the field immediately after disasters occur."

In the last two years, TPRF has brought food aid to people in Niger during the famine, Pakistan after the earthquake, Indonesia and Sri Lanka after the tsunami, Guatemala and Mexico after hurricanes. The Foundation also helped feed thousands of victims of Hurricane Katrina in the United States.

In 2006, the Foundation launched "Food for People," a 10,000 sq.ft. custom-built food-aid facility in Jharkhand, a tribal area in northeastern India, where some of the poorest people on earth live. Each month, year round, 45,000 free hot meals are prepared and distributed to people there. Much of the food is grown by villagers on the land around the facility. The Foundation is actively working to open similar facilities in the near future in Nepal and southern India.

The Foundation also regularly holds eye clinics in India. More than 10,000 free consultations have already been given to adults and children in need, and free prescription glasses and eye medicine were distributed at no cost.

The GRAMMY Awards is an annual ceremony at which awards are presented by the Recording Academy for outstanding achievements in the recording industry. The show-which will feature performances from some of the music industry's most important artists-will originate live from the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles on February 11, 2007. TPRF is pleased to be the only humanitarian organization to participate in the GRAMMY Talent Lounge produced by Distinctive Assets.
