Sydney, AU. (Top40 Charts/ Universal
Music Australia) -
Sarah Blasko returns to the stage in April with a series of rare and intimate performances at theatres across the nation. The shows will feature two sets of music performed by
Sarah and an eight-piece chamber ensemble, with an array of mystery musical guests appearing throughout the tour.
Blasko will be joined on the stage by loyal accomplices, Robert F.Cranny and Jeff de Araujo, in an ensemble combining guitar, piano, percussion, strings, flutes and horns.
In place of a support band, Sarah Blasko will play an extended set featuring highlights from her highly-acclaimed second album What The Sea Wants, The Sea Will Have as well as her breakthrough debut The Overture & the Underscore. She will be joined on stage by special mystery guests drawn from the wealth of Australian musical talent in each city.
Sarah Blasko was recently announced in the shortlist for the AMP Awards and picked up two spots in the Triple J Hottest 100. What The Sea Wants, The Sea Will Have has surpassed gold album sales and continues to garner critical acclaim.
Following on from her sold out regional tour in February, this limited run of shows in capital cities is not to be missed.
