Sydney, AU. (Top40 Charts/ EMI MUSIC Australia) - After electrifying main-stage performances at this year's Big Day Festival, Jet return to home soil for a national tour throughout May and June. The tour will kick off at Melbourne's Palais Theatre on Friday May 25 and will continue around the country till mid June. 'Shine On', the band's third single to be lifted from their platinum selling album of the same name, will be released Saturday March 17. The track was written by Nic Cester about his father John Cester, who passed away of cancer in August 2004 during the height of the success of their 'Get Born' record. Like Youth Group's number one hit 'Forever Young', 'Shine On' was the featured track on the series finale of Network Ten's 'The OC' last Friday evening. Not a dry eye to be seen! Following on from the massive airplay of previous singles 'Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is' and 'Rip It Up', 'Shine On' was the No 4 most added song for its debut week. Tickets for all shows will go on sale Thursday March 22 through all usual ticket outlets.
