New Jersey (Top40 Charts/ Self Release) - Val Emmich is:

COURAGEOUS: After two years on Epic Records and nothing to show for his efforts but a re-released version of his debut album SLOW DOWN KID, Val Emmich begged successfully for the privilege to walk away from a multiple album deal and returned to the exact place where he started - writing music by himself for himself.

ESTABLISHED: Emmich self-released his new album, SUNLIGHT SEARCHPARTY, to much acclaim. In addition to 14 raw, heartfelt tracks, the package includes a one hour documentary DVD directed by Matt Schuman entitled "It's Only Your Life: The Making of Sunlight Searchparty," as well as a 16 page booklet designed entirely by Emmich himself.

VICTORIOUS: 'This Ship's Going Down,' the first single off SUNLIGHT SEARCHPARTY, has reached the The Number One Most Requested Spot on 106.3FM in his home state of New Jersey. The song also gained the Number 2 position on the Alternative Songs playlist for MediaGuide's Unsigned Radio Airplay chart.

GROUNDBREAKING: Emmich was the first and only unsigned artist to appear on MTV's TRL and he continues to have a strong relationship with MTV. Most recently, he taped an interview for MTV RADIO'S YOU HEAR IT FIRST program, which will be aired on 50 modern rock stations across the country along with the first single 'This Ship's Going Down.'
