Nashville, TN.(Top40 Charts/ Big Machine Records)-Big Machine recording artist Jack Ingram was in the middle of doing press in New York City last Wednesday (March 14th) for his upcoming album when he received an urgent phone call from his manager. There had been a slight change of plans.

It seemed that Rascal Flatts ' lead singer, Gary LaVox, contracted an acute case of Bronchitis and was forced to cancel the band ' s show at Reliant Stadium in Houston ... and they were asking Ingram to fill in.

Within minutes, Ingram was being rushed to a private jet, on his way to the Houston Rodeo. At the same time, his band and crew, who were split equally between Dallas and Austin, were notified to jump into their vehicles and head for Houston immediately.

After his jet landed, and he was rushed from the airport through the city, Ingram entered Reliant Stadium only moments before walking out on stage to thousands of screaming fans. Pinch-hitting that night alongside of Ingram were fellow artists Joe Nichols and Clay Walker.

Texas-based Ingram ' s first full length studio recording since 2002, THIS IS IT, will be released on March 27, 2007. The album ' s first single, Ingram ' s rendition of the rock smash "Lips of an Angel," is currently No 17 on the Billboard Country Singles Chart. The video for the song is currently No 1 on CMT: Country Music Television ' s ' Top 20 Countdown ' . Ingram also appears in the current issue of Esquire Magazine as 'Best Country Artist' in their Esqy Awards

Ingram scored a No 1 hit last summer with "Wherever You Are," then a Top 10 hit with the tongue-in-cheek rocker, "Love You," both singles were from his Live Wherever You Are album which "offers no shortage of real-deal hooks and charisma" (Esquire Magazine).

After spending much of last year on the road (with headliners Sheryl Crow, Brooks & Dunn and Gary Allan, respectively) Ingram prepares to hit the road again in April with multi-platinum, CMA Award Winner Brad Paisely on the massive BONFIRES & AMPLIFIERS tour that will extend through the summer. https://www.jackingram.net
