CHICAGO, Ill. (R. Kelly Fans Website) - Towards the end of last week, 4 more tapes allegedly showing R&B singer R. Kelly involved in sex acts were handed over to the Chicago police. But according to R. Kellys spokespeople they feel the trial of the singer is being prejudiced by a press smear campaign. Kellys legal team have said that the new tapes do not come into play in the current case that they are working on and that the discovery of these tapes creates an unjust prejudice. Kelly is being tried on 21 counts of child pornography and will appear in court on August 7th. The singers spokesperson claims that the Chicago authorities are worried that their case against Kelly isn't strong enough, so the prosecution has engaged in a smear campaign. Also, Chicago Police have found no evidence of wrongdoing relevant to its investigation in the four additional alleged R. Kelly sex tapes that surfaced last week, according to spokesperson for the police department. Although what the tapes do contain was not revealed, police report that the videos, found at a private residence in Orange County, Fla., do not show anyone having sex with underage females. Kelly is accused of 21 counts of child pornography violations for allegedly having sexual relations with a 14-year-old girl and videotaping the act. The singer pled not guilty to all charges in Cook County, Ill., Criminal Court. He is next due in court on Aug. 7.
