NEW YORK (NY CHR radio) - The Red Hot Chili Peppers are on their way to New York to help in the citys revitalisation. The band will be holding a Pep Rally performance on the home of the Statue of Liberty, New Yorks Ellis Island. 450 tickets will be available to businesses in lower Manhattan and to the families of September 11th victims. Requiring special permits, the performance will take place on July 9th, which falls on the same day as the release of the Chilli Peppers new album, By The Way. Stated Parks Superintendent Diane Dayson said the performance is happening because The Red Hot Chili Peppers expressed their interest in helping New Yorkers recover from the devastating events of 9/11. Also, Red hot Chili pepper's new single "By The way" released previous weeks and the group are enjoying the No1 spot on Italian Chart and first spots all over the world.
