LOS ANGELES, CA. (Top40 Charts/ Walt Disney Records) - After kicking off one of the hottest concerts of 2006-2007, Walt Disney Records will release High School Musical: The Concert CD + DVD on May 1st. Filmed in Houston at the start of the sold-out 42-city arena tour, this two-disc set features every song from the quadruple-platinum High School Musical movie soundtrack - the No 1 best-selling album of 2006 - plus bonus tracks performed live in concert.

In addition to the audio CD, the DVD captures the exhilaration of the show with over 30 minutes of live concert footage - plus exclusive behind-the-scenes interview footage with the all-star cast of Corbin Bleu ("Chad"), Monique Coleman ("Taylor"), Lucas Grabeel ("Ryan"), Vanessa Hudgens ("Gabriella"), Ashley Tisdale ("Sharpay") and Emmy-nominated singer/songwriter Drew Seeley (who co-wrote the hit "Get'cha Head in the Game" and contributed male vocals to the High School Musical soundtrack). The bonus tracks on the CD also showcase Bleu, Hudgens and Tisdale with breakout moments from each concert, as they perform material from their current and/or forthcoming albums- the only place to hear these live selections.

High School Musical was the surprise musical phenomenon of the year and shattered multiple sales records on the Billboard charts in January 2006. The soundtrack was the No 1 best-selling domestic album of 2006 on Nielsen's Soundscan charts, and was the first-ever TV movie soundtrack to peak at No 1 on Billboard's Top 200, where it spent two weeks in the top position. Disney Channel's High School Musical has reached 100 million total viewers worldwide.

B-ROLL: Cast interviews, performance footage, crowd/fan reactions and EPK highlights.
