CCM Artist Katie Giguere To Cover Martina McBride's Hit Song 'Anyway'

Brentwood, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Martingale Music) - Critically acclaimed, chart-topping Contemporary Christan artist Katie Giguere is in the studio this week, putting the finishing touches on her next single. The song, called "Anyway", was co-written and recorded by award-winning country artist Martina McBride, and recently hit the top of both Country and AC charts on mainstream radio.

Giguere, best known for her Top 10 single "I Lift Up My Eyes", and her Top 25 song "Just By Your Mercy", recalls the time she first heard Martina McBride's inspiring new song.

"I was driving in my car, and 'Anyway' came on the radio. One particular lyric really caught my attention. 'You can chase a dream that seems so out of reach, and you know it might not ever come your way, dream it anyway'. I immediately got goose bumps because that has been a motto for my life and the focus of my ministry since I was 15. As a young overweight teen, my dream of becoming a recording artist seemed completely out of reach, but a wonderful woman named Bonita Mitchell basically told me that nothing is impossible with God, so I should 'dream it anyway'. Martina's song also tells us that God is great, and we should pray no matter the circumstance. I just knew this was a message I needed to bring to the Christian radio listeners, and God has now made that possible. I'm thrilled."

Since Katie's buzz-generating debut in 2004, she has released 7 songs to Christian radio, including three Christmas singles, and "I'll Find You", the song that broke records for listener response at WSGL in Rockford, IL. Giguere's version of "Anyway" will release to Christian AC and Inspo radio this spring.
