Nashville, TN. (Top40 Charts/ Equity Music Group) - Clint Black is back in the studio working on his next album for Equity Music Group, with a release date set for late fall. He has spent the past month writing new material and recently, Black sat down with Carolina Rain's front-man and fellow labelmate, Rhean Boyer, for a writing session. According to Boyer, writing with Black was an amazing experience. He says the first verse flowed out immediately and then they hit a wall on the second verse. 'We were both deep in thought and staring at a blank page,' recalls Boyer. 'I began playing around on the guitar and came up with a line. He started singing it and I heard this legendary voice singing the words we had just written together. It was an absolutely incredible experience for me.' Black is one of the most prolific and successful songwriters in country music, having written, recorded and released more than 100 songs. His debut album set a record with five No. 1 hit singles, a feat then unprecedented in any form of music, and he has 31 self-penned Top 10 hits. This fall, Black will kick off an intimate theatre tour. For more information on Clint Black, visit www.clintblack.com.
