Gillett Entertainment Group in collaboration with Greenland, Higher Ground and MEG are thrilled to announce that the lineup for Osheaga 2007 is bulking up! NYC indie heroes Interpol will be joining the Osheaga festival line-up in its second year; British sensations Arctic Monkeys add a dose of chaos to the Osheaga mix; Irish troubadour Damien Rice returns to Montreal after pouring out his heart and soul for two (and soon to be three) sold out audiences in his last visits; M.I.A. (a.k.a. Maya Arulpragasam) hailing from the British Isles via the island of Sri Lanka brings da riddims to make ya move and will find herself right at home in the Osheaga island nation; hometown sweetheart Martha Wainwright makes her much anticipated return to Montreal; Texas noise stars Explosions in the Sky are back to light things up; Editors, the Birmingham indie quartet add to the European flavour of the festival; and Montreal up-and-comers Miracle Fortress and Pas Chic Chic show that this town knows how to rock - indie style!
Just like last year, over 50 incredible bands will take over Osheaga 2007's 5 stages set upon the breath-taking backdrop of Montreal's Parc Jean-Drapeau, Ile Sainte-Helene (accessible by Metro Jean-Drapeau) - located just 10 minutes from downtown Montreal. For the second year, the Art Tent will offer local and international artists a special platform allowing for one of a kind, intimate artistic and musical performances.
Osheaga is also pleased to announce the arrival of Single Day Tickets! Separate tickets for Saturday, September 8th and Sunday, September 9th will be available as of 10 am on Thursday, May 10th so you can pick and choose your favourite day to come to Osheaga, or you can get the best of both and grab a weekend pass to soak it all in.
