LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ Equal Vision Records) - Dustin Kensrue released his debut solo album Please Come Home this year to endless praise from press. In support of his break out record, Kensrue is gearing up for an East coast summer run with Tom Morello's solo project, The Night Watchman.

With performances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Late Show with David Letterman under his belt, Kensrue debuted on a variety of Billboard Charts: No 1 Heatseeker, No 1 New Artist, No 11 Independent albums and No 144 Billboard top 200.

Both Kensrue and Morello come from influential bands who continue to maintain relevance and purpose. Heavy and intelligent, urgent and groundbreaking, Dustin, the frontman of critically acclaimed Thrice and Tom, the lead guitarist for Grammy Award winning, Rage Against The Machine possess these like qualities. Both musicians are a rare breed that happen to also share a dedication to helping others and raising awareness for social issues. Dustin, known for his social activism is currently donating 5% of sales from Please Come Home? to the non-profit organization To Write Love On Her Arms, while with Thrice, Dustin has also been involved with non-profits including Invisible Children, The Syrentha J. Savio Foundation, 826 Valencia, A Place Called Home, and Crittenton Services for Women and Children. Morello, known for his political activism, is one of the co-founders of Axis of Justice, a political group whose declared purpose is "to bring together musicians, fans of music, and grassroots political organizations to fight for social justice together. Morello was also the recipient of the 2006 Eleanor Roosevelt Human Rights Award.

The songs that make up Please Come Home took root when Kensrue, before his days in Thrice, busked on streets corners in Southern California, playing for change, and for the thrill of the interaction with an audience, no matter how small. "As an artist, I always want to be as real and honest as I can be in the songs," he continues. "I feel like where powerful songs come from?tapping something that's inside of you, that actually means something to you, and getting that into the song?I think you can hear when a song is not from that place. I try to be an artist who aspires to find hope even in dark places: If I'm down, I don't want to bring people down to that place with me. I'm looking for a way out."
