The self-produced 'Fire & Ice' combines the baroque classicism of his early work with more commercially oriented material, resulting in a memorable showcase for the Swedish shred king's lightning fretwork." According to a posting on Yngwie Malmsteen's official web site, the legendary Swedish guitarist is "working hard on a new rock album." The CD, which is once again expected to feature drummer Patrick Johansson and vocalist Doogie White (ex-RAINBOW), is tentatively due later this year. Universal Japan released a limited-edition YNGWIE MALMSTEEN box set, "Complete Box Polydor Years", on December 13, 2006. The six-disc set includes Malmsteen's complete full-length original album recordings in cardboard sleeve format: "Rising Force" (1984), "Marching Out" (1985), "Trilogy" (1986), "Odyssey" (1988), "Trial By Fire: Live In Leningrad" (1989) and "Eclipse" (1990). It includes 63 songs total, and comes with a deluxe book and sticker.
