INDIANAPOLIS, IN. (Top40 Charts/ Kroger PR) - Artists from around the world inspired by a wide variety of origins and genres will play in Military Park, downtown Indianapolis on June 15-17 at the 2007 Indy Jazz Fest presented by Kroger.

Tickets are now available at any Kroger Store in Indiana for a discounted price. Single day tickets are $20 at Kroger Stores, three-day passes are $50. Telephone and online purchases can be made for $25 for a single day or $55 for the three-day pass. For the first time, the American Pianists Association is also offering a premium-reserved center-stage seat good for one day of the Festival at $60. The artists scheduled to play Friday at the 2007 Indy Jazz Fest presented by Kroger include Monika Herzig and Friends, Hiromi's Sonicbloom, Regina Carter Quintet, Sherrie Maricle and the DIVA Jazz Orchestra with Nneena Freelon and Rachel Price. These groups of women serve to celebrate the designated Women in Jazz evening. Saturday and Sunday continue with Mike Milligan & Steam Shovel, Monk Legacy Septet, Somi, McCoy Tyner Trio, Ori', Spyro Gyra, Frank Smith, Al Green, Cool City swing Band, Buselli Wallarab Jazz Orchestra High School All Stars, Dan Tepfer (the 2007 APA Cole Porter Fellow), Yerba Buena, James Hunter, and Chick Corea and Bela Fleck.

Also, June 15th at 6:30 pm at the Festival, the world's only life-size bronze Tribute to composer/musician Hoagy Carmichael will be unveiled. After five years of planning, promoting and sculpting, the statue along with displays and artifacts covering Hoagy's life will tour his home state. The purpose is to 're-educate' Hoosiers about this great songsmith's musical career.
