DES MOINES, IA. (Top40 Charts/ Iowa State Fair) - Country stars Steve Holy and Josh Gracin, rock groups Survivor and Loverboy and the legendary Don McLean are just a few of the star-studded entertainment included free with gate admission to the 2007 Iowa State Fair. The Fair "Sounds Like Fun" August 9-19.

The impressive roster, offering more than $400,000 in entertainment value, is a blend of local and national, up-and-coming and classic blues, country, rock, pop and comedy acts.

Steve Holy's latest hit "Brand New Girlfriend" hit Billboard Country Singles chart at No 1 and his 2000 album "Blue Moon" went platinum with the chart-topping single "Good Morning Beautiful." Holy will perform August 11. After winning over fans as a top four finalist on season two of American Idol, Josh Gracin's self-titled debut album went gold and he is set to release his sophomore album with the popular single "Favorite State of Mind." Gracin will take the stage August 17.

Rock group Survivor topped the charts with "Eye of the Tiger" and followed up with more hits including "Burning Heart," "The Search is Over," and "High on You." They take the stage August 12. Loverboy, best known for their hits "Turn Me Loose," "Heaven In Your Eyes" and "Working for the Weekend," will perform August 18.

Legendary singer/song-writer Don McLean rocketed into fame with the release of "American Pie," which was named one of the top five Songs of the Century by the Recording Industry Association of America and the National Endowment for the Arts. His many hits, including "Vincent," "And I Love You So" and "Castles in the Air," earned him a spot in the Songwriter's Hall of Fame. McLean's performance is part of the Extreme Sunday festivities on August 19.

Fair and local favorites The Nadas, Jason Brown, The Blue Band, and Vocal Trash are also part of the free entertainment schedule.
