NEW YORK, NY. (Top40 Charts/ Epic Records) - Epic recording artists Travis have announced dates for their first North American tour in three years. The long-awaited road jaunt kicks off July 11th at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia and will cover 16 major cities across the U.S.

Travis, one of the UK's most prominent rock bands released The Boy With No Name, their fifth studio album on May 8th. The highly anticipated new album – which was produced by the band and long time collaborator Nigel Godrich (Radiohead, Paul McCartney) – shimmers with infectious melodies and timeless choruses wrapped around bittersweet songs of deep love and regret. The Boy With No Name bookmarks the band's first new material since 12 Memories. The New York Daily News proclaims, 'The Boy With No Name houses the band's best songs since their peak CD in 1999.'

'This album has all the facets of us, and some new ones,' lead singer Fran Healy explains. 'It's rocky and then it's pop but also sweet too. After a time of feeling stuck, we now feel we can do anything. We've come through the dark places and it feels like we've found our muse once more.'

Signed in 1996 Travis have amassed four albums (including two number one albums), two Brit Awards, an Ivor Novello, several sold out tours across the US, and have been lauded by critics worldwide and embraced by their fans as the everyman's band.

You can catch Travis playing 'Closer,' 'Selfish Jean' and other favorites from The Boy With No Name on their upcoming tour. Tickets go on sale this week. For more information please go www.ticketmaster.com.
